The Mechanical Workshops have modernized their equipment with the introduction of a new blasting box built on modern technology. The main reason for the upgrade was the worn-out condition of the original equipment, which suffered from pressure losses and abrasive collection system failures. The new box operates with a compressor at pressures up to 10 bar, four bars more than its predecessor, thus enabling more vigorous and precise surface blasting. The dimensions of the box itself are also larger. While the original equipment measured 10 meters in length, the new one is 13.5 meters long and can accommodate products up to 4.5 × 5 meters in size. Workers will appreciate the more powerful filtration system that reduces dust and modern lighting for better visibility and safety. The total investment in modernization exceeded 10 million crowns.
